The Ingredients

Makes ~16 balls.

The Base

  • 1 cupOats (old-fashioned or quick)
  • ½ cupProtein powder (any flavor)
  • ½ cupPeanut butter (or any nut butter)
  • ¼ cupHoney or maple syrup
  • 2 tbspMini chocolate chips

Optional Add-Ins

  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 2 tbsp flax meal
  • 2 tbsp shredded coconut
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

The Method

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Mix until everything is evenly distributed.

If too dry, add 1 tbsp milk at a time. If too wet, add more oats.

Consistency

Mixture should hold together when squeezed. Not crumbly, not sticky.

Roll into 1-inch balls (about 1 tablespoon each). Place on parchment-lined tray.

Refrigerate at least 30 minutes to firm up.

Store in airtight container in fridge (1 week) or freezer (3 months).

Flavor Variations

Chocolate PB

Chocolate protein + PB + chocolate chips. The classic.

Cookie Dough

Vanilla protein + extra chocolate chips + dash of almond extract.

Coconut Almond

Vanilla protein + almond butter + shredded coconut. Roll in extra coconut.
